Neil Gaiman’s 6-Year-Old Son Has Been Writing His Own Version of Good Omens 2

Neil Gaiman shares a few pages from his son Ash’s script for the upcoming second season of the Prime Video series, Good Omens.

Neil Gaiman’s six-year-old son, Ash, is writing his own script for Season 2 of Prime Video’s good omens.

Gaiman shared two pages of Ash’s script for good omens 2 on his official Tumblr, which feature two new characters, including Coco the Demon and Iggly, who are tricked into falling into a muddy pit by the demon Crowley. However, Coco and Iggly escape Crowley’s trap and then attempt to steal a painting, before they are tricked yet again. The script ends with Crowley exclaiming, “Ash made this trap up too!”

Prime Video’s good omens, which stars David Tennant as Crowley and Michael Sheen as the angel Aziraphale, is currently filming for its second season. Gaiman has shared several updates for the season on his blog, including a scrap from the series’ real script, which features a few lines of dialogue between Aziraphale and Crowley.

Based on the original 1990 novel, Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, written by Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, the first season of the television adaptation aired its first six episodes on Prime Video May 13, 2019. A co-production by Amazon Studios and BBC Studios, the first season — much like the book — followed the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley, who — having grown accustomed to life on Earth — attempt to prevent the coming of the Antichrist and, by extension, the end of the world. The series is directed by Douglas Mackinnon, with Gaiman serving as creator, writer and showrunner.

Mackinnon recently shared a photo of Tennant and Sheen returning to set ahead of the return of good omens Season 2. The photos only featured the eyes and hair color of the respective actors, but it is enough to tease that the series’ lead actors have returned to begin their work on the second season. Season 2 is currently filming on the Soho set, with the most recent photo being of Tennant and Sheen in full costume.

It was announced in June that good omens was renewed for a second season, with Sheen and Tennant returning. “The new season will explore storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley,” Amazon said of good omens 2. “Having been on Earth since The Beginning and with the Apocalypse thwarted, Aziraphale and Crowley are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery.”

Season 2 of Good Omens doesn’t yet have a release date. Season 1 is available to stream on Amazon Prime.
