🌱 Suspicious Package Found At Airport + 1 Dead In Shooting

Here are the top 3 stories in Jackson today:

  1. On Friday night, a woman was shot in the arm in the 3600 block of Skyline Drive. The Jackson Police Department said one woman shot another during a family dispute. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. (WLBT)
  2. A suspicious package was found near the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport, which lead to the shutdown on International Drive. A bomb squad worked with airport police to check out the package. Authorities said there is no direct threat to the main airport terminal or aircraft operations. (WAP Jackson)
  3. One person died and another person was injured after police say there was a shooting between two convicted felons. The shooting happened at the Laxmi Food Mart on University Boulevard. Police believe that two people exchanged gunfire during a fight and attempted robbery. (WAP Jackson)
