Stop by the library through March 19 to pick up a free craft kit that will include string, colorful beads, a keychain, and instructions. No registration is required for this free activity.
Customized Books for Teens
The library offers Teen Book Boxes that are customized just for people based on interests. Registration for the box is March 14-26. Using the registration information provided, the library staff will create a Book Box that will include two library books, a handful of treats and a couple of fun trinkets. Register on the library’s website calendar, www.orrville.lib.oh.us, or by contacting the Information Desk at 330-683-1065.
The Book Box will be available to pick up the week of April 4. Participants must registered in order to pick up a customized box.
Seed Exchange
It’s time to get out the grow lights and heat mats to start garden seeds indoors. Anyone looking for something new or want to share leftover seeds, stop by the library’s Seed Exchange area. Both commercially packaged and saved seeds for herbs, flowers and vegetables will be accepted. If you no longer have the original packet, place seeds in a small Ziploc bag and label it with the variety of seed, growing notes and the year of the seed. The library will also have a variety of gardening books and seed starting information on display.
The exchange continues through May 31. This is self-serve, so everyone can take some seeds home, even if they have nothing to bring. For more information, contact the library at 330-683-1065.
