Authors and readers connect at Viera presentation and book signing

When some folks find the world too rough, they love getting lost in a good book, as sales during the past couple of years have shown.

But the isolation of the pandemic has also made getting together with other book lovers more precious than ever, and writers and readers will do just that at a free event and signing with dozens of bestselling and award-winning authors March 26 in Viera.

“Books have always provided an escape from troubling times,” says Melinda Leigh, a beachside resident of the Space Coast whose thrillers have sold millions of copies. She enjoys audiobooks and almost all genres; lately she’s been reading fantasy. “A great book sucks the reader into a whole new world. There are days when we all need that.”
