What does a typical day look like for you?

My day is never typical, but that is exactly why I love the role I am in and working at FINEOS so much, as it offers me a wide range of new challenges every day and year since I’ve been here. I feel fortunate that this allows me to continuously develop my skills, knowledge and experiences. Working across various time zones also means I get to blend my work and life to achieve a good balance.

How do you continue to grow professionally?

I constantly listen to audio books on personal and professional development as well as following professional coaches and being involved with networks of like-minded people who are always seeking to level-up. Leaning in to learn more about the overall business helps me to continuously expand my skills, knowledge and experience.

Who is a woman who made a positive impact on your career?

I would say both my mother and grandmother who worked very hard setting a great example of having a family and balancing that with working outside the home have made a positive impact on me. They showed me that gender shouldn’t be a blocker in achieving my goals.

How do you define success?

Success for me is a mindset of making things happen, a sense of achievement and fulfillment, whether that be professionally, personally, mentally, financially or academically.

Which was your favorite role and why?

The role I am doing now is probably my favourite. My work varies between leadership, working with different and new countries and cultures all the time, and Mergers & Acquisition activity. At FINEOS, our people strategy is a key pillar in the execution of our overall mission whilst spanning across all the other pillars of our growth strategy. This is an integral focus for me in my role as Chief People Officer.

What stands out as one of your proudest professional moments over your career?

This is a tough one as I have many proud moments, but in particular for me it was being part of the team that helped to grow FINEOS and celebrating the IPO in the ASX in Australia in 2019. A key commitment of our DEI program at FINEOS is to encourage and support female representation in the tech industry. I am also incredibly proud of the culture we embrace to enable and empower all of our amazing employees.

If you could time travel what advice would you give your younger self in advance of starting their journey at FINEOS?

Give your best version of yourself within your role and challenge yourself by seeking out conscious discomfort that allows you to continuously develop your skills, knowledge and experience.
