Branches continuing return to normal

As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to decrease, Worthington Libraries continues to bring back services that were available before the pandemic. In addition to restocking our lobby vending machines and reopening our meeting rooms, here’s what else has returned and what’s new.

Big Library Read

Worthington Libraries patrons are invited to explore recent American history through music by participating in Big Library Read, a global book club.

Throughout April, booklovers are encouraged to read Questlove’s “Music Is History,” meeting to discuss the bestseller online at biglibraryread.com/join-the-discussion/. Old Worthington Library, 820 High St., will host a discussion in-person and via Zoom at 6:30 pm April 20.

Focusing on the years from 1971 to present day, “Music Is History” combines the famous musician’s deep musical expertise with his curiosity about history, whether investigating how the blaxploitation was reshaped Black identity or considering the way disco took an assembly-line approach to Black genius.
