How to watch CNN+, the network’s new streaming service, on March 29

CNN+, a new streaming service meant to complement the cable news network, is finally ready, kicking off at 4 am Tuesday Arizona time.

And Andrew Morse is ready. Boy, is he ready.

Morse, CNN executive vice president, chief digital officer and head of CNN+, certainly isn’t lowballing the new service.

“This launch is one of the most important initiatives for CNN since Ted Turner launched the network 42 years ago,” he said in an interview last week. Morse was practically champing at the bit.

“We are so ready,” Morse said. “We are incredibly excited. The rocket is on the launchpad and we are counting down.”

Once it achieves liftoff there will be three kinds of programming: live shows, a library of existing movies and shows and interactive interviews. More details on each momentarily.

Suffice to say, it’s a lot of programming.

CNN+ will cost $5.99 a month, or $59.99 a year. If you sign up within the first four weeks you get 50% off the monthly plan, for life, or $2.99 a month. (If the monthly subscription rises, so will the early subscriber rate, but it will always remain 50% off.)
