Bee Cave Public Library to host its inaugural book festival April 30

The Bee Cave Public Library is abuzz with preparations for its first annual book festival, which will feature a beekeeper and educational programming about the importance of pollinators, alongside literary stars and a kid’s concert.

The free festival will kick off at noon on Saturday, April 30, at the library and the courtyard of the Hill Country Galleria. There is programming geared toward kids, teens and adults, from readings to book signings to Q&A sessions to arts and crafts.

A number of high-profile local authors will be in attendance, including bestseller Sarah Bird. Library Director Barbara Hathaway said Bird, whose upcoming book is “Last Dance on the Starlight Pier,” has visited in the past and she is excited to invite the writer back to speak.
