Michelle Yeoh Shares Everything Everywhere All At Once Script Reaction

Michelle Yeoh, star of the hit multidimensional sci-fi comedy Everything Everywhere All at Once, has recently shared the initial emotional reaction she had when she read the script for the first time. The film was written and directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (otherwise known as The Daniels).

Everything Everywhere All at Once follows the main character, Evelyn Wang (Yeoh), a laundromat owner who suddenly finds herself developing the ability to exist across multiple different parallel dimensions simultaneously – rendering her existence somewhat impermanent. Wang also can control objects within those various dimensions, solely through the power of her mind. Yeoh’s character de ella requires her to use all of her courage and inner strength de ella in order to stop an alternate version of her daughter de ella (Stephanie Hsu) from possibly destroying the entire timeline. Yeoh is joined by an impressive list of cast members – including Ke Huy Quan, James Hong, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Tallie Medel. Due to its A-list studded cast, intricate plotline, and touching script, Everything Everywhere All at Once has received both praise and critical acclaim since its release. Yeoh first caught Hollywood’s attention with her role in the James Bond movie, Tomorrow Never Dies.

Ever since then, she has managed to create a long-standing, successful career. Over time, she has made a name for herself as an action-star, as she has appeared in numerous major blockbuster films such as crouching tiger, Hidden Dragon, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and the beloved Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Now, the acclaimed actress has opened up regarding her first reaction from ella to reading the script for Everything Everywhere All at Once, and it’s obvious the film’s material left a strong impression on her – resonating deeply with who she is at her core. In an interview with GQ magazine, Yeoh began to get a bit teary-eyed when she described the moment she realized just how special this script was.

She began to explain that she had been waiting for so long for a project that stirred this kind of passion within her, and she began to fear her chance might never come. She sighed with relief as she stated, “This is something, oh dear. No, this is something I’ve been waiting for, for a long time. That’s going to give me the opportunity to show my fans, my family, my audience, what I am capable of. To be funny, to be real, to be sad – finally, somebody understood that I can do all of these things.”

Although Yeoh has thoroughly enjoyed her firm presence in the action movie genre, she is clearly ready to explore and further showcase her versatility and range as the incredibly skilled actress that she is. Yeoh has nothing to prove to her fans of her, or anybody for that matter, but her heartfelt sentiment of her reveals just how committed to growth she is within her craft of her-and pleasing her devoted fans of her. Unfortunately and quite strangely, Everything Everywhere All at Once is currently not available on any major streaming platforms. Yet, fans are hopeful that it will be released onto at least one streaming platform this year.
