  • As a symbol of their commitment to the pursuit of higher education, the Westhampton Beach High School Class of 2022 wore the apparel of their college of choice on May 2. The class will be heading to a number of premier schools this fall to begin their postsecondary studies, including the Amherst College, Barnard College, Cornell University, Fordham University, Georgetown University, Gonzaga University, Northeastern University, New York University, Princeton University, Stony Brook University and the University of Michigan.   • Members of Hampton Bays Elementary School’s service club, K-Kids, raised $200 for the Anderson Center for Autism as part of an annual autism awareness fundraiser. They raised the funds by hosting a pajama day in which students and staff donated money to wear pajamas to school on April 29.   • On Friday, May 6, the pre-Kindergarten students at Raynor County Day School hosted a Mother’s Day Tea Party for their mothers. During their visit, the ladies were treated to a musical performance, tea, and tasty treats. In addition, the children created handmade gifts for their mothers which included pinch pots, floral vases, handcrafted necklaces, and gift certificates to be redeemed for services such as putting away toys or washing the dishes.
