Mando On The Big Screen Is Inevitable Thinks Star Pedro Pascal

According to The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal, I send on the big screen is unavoidable. Pascal recently chattered with Variety and you can catch that interview in full using the link. However asked if he thought I send on the big screen could it ever happen? Well, here is Pascal’s reply in full.

“Don’t you think it’s inevitable? I, personally, I have no — truly — I have no idea, but that would be a dream come true. Not that any more dreams could possibly come true! [Laughs] Maybe I’ve had my fill.”

“Seeing just the trailer on a big screen like that, I mean the way it envelopes you and takes you back, and at the same time, it is beyond special to be able to kind of have the intimate experience that we do have with these chapters of The Mandalorian and its expanded universe and everything that is to come and everything that’s just started as far as Obi-Wan Kenobi, and we’re figuring it out.”

“I love going to the movies. Going back and just being able to be with an audience again is one of the most important things to me,” he concluded. “If that happens with The Mandalorian, all I can say is…please!”

Pascal has already filmed The Mandalorian Season 3 and one assumes he will be back for Season 4 which creator Jon Favreau is writing. The question is, if this MandoVerse is all building up to some climactic endgame, could that end up being a movie? Honestly, I’m not so sure it’s a great idea. I’m sure most actors would prefer movie, and box office points, to TV. However, for me, the MandoVerse is a streaming show. As such, I’d rather have a six-part high budget series to cap this all off, than a two-hour movie. However, I don’t speak for all fans. Perhaps my own views are not reciprocated among the majority of the fan base?

As per recent comments from Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, it seems the next movies will be set around the sequel trilogy era and its aftermath. Irrespective of whether I think that’s a good idea or not (I don’t), it does minimize the chances of seeing Dinn Djarin show up. Peter Pascal could appear as an older Mando in a movie, especially if still wearing a helmet. Though Lucasfilm waits a long time they would at least have to age Pascal up. The Sequels are around 30 years beyond the time period the MandoVerse is set in. I won’t rule it out, but I do feel it’s unlikely. Therefore this leads us back to the question I posed above. Should the finale of the MandoVerse be a show, or a movie?

Pedro Pascal thinks I send on the big screen is inevitable, do you? Or, like me do you think I send should remain in it’s own streaming universe? Let us know over on Discord, or alternatively leave a comment below.
