Dynamic Community Foundation plans golf outing

A golf outing to benefit Dynamic Community Foundation, Freeport, will be Aug. 27 at Birdsfoot Golf Club, 225 Furnace Run Road, South Buffalo.

Check-in will be at 1 pm The event will be a 4-man scramble and a shotgun start will be at 2 pm Cost is $75 per golfer if paid by Aug. 1 and includes dinner, beer, beverages and hot dogs. After that date the cost is $80.

There will be skill games and a $10,000 hole-in-one jackpot. Non-golfers are welcome to attend the dinner for $25.

Free movie series set Monday at Hartwood Acres

The free Allegheny County Family Fun Drive-In movie series Monday at Hartwood Acres Amphitheater will feature the movie, “American Underdog,” rated PG.

Gates open at 7:30 pm and the show begins at dusk. Gates close when the movie starts. When the parking area fills up, a notice will be posted on the Allegheny County Parks Facebook page. Capacity is limited to the first 300 vehicles.
