Ronald McDonald House Christmas Fantasy House is ex-UWM Alumni House

If ever there was a house that lent itself to Christmas decorations, it’s the former UWM Alumni House, located on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, just north of Lake Park and Lincoln Memorial Drive.

Now owned by entrepreneur and philanthropist Andy Nunemaker, the 25,000-square-foot single-family home has 10 fireplaces that would be perfect for garland and candles. Three floors are filled with rooms large enough to accommodate giant Christmas trees, and the home’s exterior and roofline would look stunning decorated with holiday lights.

And it’s this year’s Christmas Fantasy House; a fundraising event for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin, which provides a place to stay and support for families while their children are treated for serious illnesses.

Nikki Bruneau, media coordinator, said the event will run from Oct. 29 to Nov. 6 but will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 2.
